The Conference, organized by the Technical School of Architecture of the Polytechnic University of Madrid, and by the Department of Architecture of the University of Florence, aims at facilitating the communication between researchers and freelance architects, coming from different countries, on the issue of restoration and the disciplines related to it.

The selection of the abstracts took place with a system of blind review by the Referees Committee, so that the quality of the accepted papers can be guaranteed.

Professors, researchers, freelance architects and public authorities, from several European Countries and outside Europe, took part in the conference for a total of 225 submitted papers, 183 accepted papers, 301 authors, 150 conference attendees.
